Labor Day Weekend

posted on September 02, 2005 by: TomKane

Well here it is, the unofficial end of summer. Three day weekend of fun and sun. Unless you're like me and have to house sit your sisters place. But hey, that works out for me. Can anyone say "party"? I can, but I don't like them. Can anyone say "beautiful isolation"? I can, and I love it. Unlike most kids my age, I hate being around people in general. So what kind of fun activities will I enjoy? Sleeping, eating, and gaming. WOOO!!! LABOR DAY WEEKEND AHOY!!

I've been working on the Free On-line Game-list like a mad man. Adding everything I've found recently as well as two other games that were not on the list for some unknown reason; Fairyland and Runescape. I've known about these games for some time, so I don't know how they didn't make it to the list. Neither of which I enjoy too much, but you might just crap your pants with enjoyment! All this brings the list up to an incredible 40 games!

GunZ On-line is being hacked like crazy. Can't even play the game now. Can't say I don't know why, I took a look at the files and NOTHING IS ENCRYPTED! It says things like "Gun=Nr5 Damage=30 Speed=120" All you have to do is change the attributes, load the game, replace the file with the original, then start playing. It's so easy to hack, a monkey could do it. Even with poo still on it's fingers.

Been playing Oriental Fantasy: Xiah (can be found on the list) a lot. I really really like this game. I thought for sure I was done with MMORPG's, but this game has reinstalled my faith in free games. Of course, I have no idea how long it's going to stay free, so I'm trying to get as much enjoyment I can out of it. If you want to play with me, contact me on the forums and we'll set up a meeting time/place. Meanwhile I'll be kicking monster ass with Draemus and other friends.

I've also added a new poll to the gaming section. Playstation 3 won the previous poll, with Xbox 360 coming in second and Nintendo Revolution last.

Last night I met up with Jzer from the Sabatos forums on GunZ: The Duel. He's as good as me, and by that I mean kicks ass. So if we do make a Sabatos related clan, we're going to rock. We need more people to join in on the GunZ action though, in order to make a decent clan.

Today I updated the free game list to include GunZ and an RPG called Knight On-line. It's a decent massively multi-player RPG, kind of World of Warcraft-esque, only not nearly as polished of course. MMORPG fans should check it out ASAP.

Turns out Priston Tales went pay-to-play (you can still get a free trial, but screw them). So I had to remove it from the list. I did however find a game called Rubies of Eventide that was at one point pay-to-play but now it just relies on donations. If you like the game, I suggest putting up a small donation, personally I wasn't all that crazy about it.

Had a bitch of a time the other day trying to find a place to download the patch for C&C: Renegade. I then got kicked out of a few servers because I didn't have "Renguard", some kind of mod to make the on-line gaming experience better and it supposedly spots cheaters/hackers with ease. I have since then downloaded "Renguard" but I have yet to try it out.

I will probably add the Renegade patch to the download server at some point (assuming it's ok with SG111) because that was honestly one of the most frustrating things to find.

My very own blog?

Ok, this is my most awesome blog. I will keep it like a website development/gaming journal thing.

Yesterday I fixed up the Free Game List and added a Game of the Moment. Today I added "staff picks" to the free game list and cleaned it up to look neater.

I'm going to gather some E3 information and add the cool stuff to the news section (when I get around to it).
