Having Fun With Image Leachers!

So I was checking out the site stats the other day and noticed that there are a huge amount of people leaching the TV static background from our image gallery. Normally it would not be a big issue, but in the last month or so the bandwidth has gotten excessive. My first thought was to just delete it, but then my sense of humor got the best of me.

I secretly replaced THIS image:

with THIS image:

Granted, this little bit of fun is nowhere near as hilarious as the guy who replaced his leeched images with the goate.cx guy, but I didn't want to make anyone vomit!

International Day of the Nacho is October 21st!!!

The time is almost near to celebrate a wonderful holiday that I knew almost nothing about until a few weeks ago. That's right, October 21st is the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE NACHO!!! People all over the world will be celebrating the birth of one of the most savory snacks of all time. But how does one celebrate INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE NACHO??? By eating nachos of course! One can prepare them either in the traditional method, or the modern way. But if you really want to get in the spirit you will need to buy one of the shirts shown below!

Our household will go the traditional route by deep frying quartered tortillas and topping with a mild cheese and jalapeno. Right before eating them we will gather around the computer and read the official history of nachos. And as we eat our snack each person will take a turn impersonating Howard Cosel by reciting phrases such as, "That pass was nachos all the way!"

How will YOU celebrate?

I finally got promoted to a co manager!!! After Four months of grueling interviews and disappointment, I finally got it! I'll be reporting to the store in Fremont OH on the 21st of August. Until then, I will be packing, and moving, and unloading, and unpacking, and all of that kind of crap.

Death By Boredom!!!

Wal-Mart is killing me! I have been stuck in a motel room 5 days a week for the past 2 and a half months and I have had enough! The actual remodeling of the Wal-Mart store have been complete and all that is left to do is stupid cleaning notes that a trained chimp could complete. And we have to do this for the next 3 weeks! AAGGHH!!! This really sucks! The only thing that keeps me sane is the fact that I have an absolutely HUGE picture of some nachos from their snackbar. And also a big picture of some giant pretzels and a cookie. (Now I just need to convince me wife to let me keep them...)

Command & Conquer Renegade Cheat!!!

After fruitless hours of searching, I have finally found the single player cheat to let me be the master of Command & Conquer Renegade. It seems that the only way to effect gameplay is with an extracted database file. I have found such a file and have uploaded it for all to use. (And please don't complain to me about how cheating is sucky and what not. I don't have time to spend hours mastering each game. I just want to blow stuff up!)

What Happened?

Where is all the old content?
Here is the long story short: The site was fat, bloated, and ineffective. So we put it to sleep for a while. I kept up some links to the forums, popular articles, and a few fun projects I'm playing with. Otherwise we are gone. The Sabatos Especial are still around, and working on their own projects.

Lessons Learned:
I tried to generalize the site with a little bit of everything that I thought people would like. I realize now that we decidedly lost focus, and in the process our readership. I was trying to do too many different things decent, but none of them well. I'm sorry. I know next time what to do.

What will happen from here?
I'm not quite sure. I am currently set to promote in the next few months and will not have as much time as I used to. Anything could happen. You still should check in from time to time though. (You know, in case we actually do something entertaining!)
Thanks to the tax man and my wife being extremely cool, I can now update the latest happenings from my hotel room! I recently purchased a sweet laptop from my local mart so I could communicate with the world at large. (For those who are not in the know, I have been working for the past week and a half on a remodel team in Brookfield MO.) Anyway, my hotel has free high speed Internet connection so I can now be my regular lazy self!

Movies Are Cool Again!

Back in the day I liked to watch movies. Actually, I LOVED to watch movies. My wife was a manager of a video store so we got to watch movies all of the time. Eventually, we achieved burn out and watched next to no films at home for several years. It was a dark and terrible time.

Just recently however, we joined up with Netflix and started watching movies again. Man, we have missed some quality gems. Take "Shaun of the Dead" for example. This has got to be one of the funniest date movie/horror flick that I have ever seen! (And yes I know it has been out for a few years. Thats why I wrote all the crap about not watching many movies!!)

I wonder if they have "Black belt Jones" in stock?
